ASUS and Acer launched Education-focused Chromebooks at BETT

Yesterday at BETT education technology trade show, ASUS and Acer introduced two new Education-focused Chromebooks – Acer Spin 11 and ASUS C213. These both Chromebooks are particularly designed for Education purposes having special google education features.

Acer Spin 11 Chromebook

Acer Spin 11 Chromebook weights 1.4kg and measures 296x206x20.5mm. It is built with reinforced chassis that has a MIL-STD 810G US military rating for durability. Company claims that the Spin 11 has upto 10 hours of battery backup.

Acer Spin 11 features

  • 11-inch HD IPS Touchscreen Display (Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected)
  • 360-degree hinge (dual torque)
  • Dual Core / Quad Core Intel Celeron chipset
  • 8GB RAM with 32GB or 64GB of flash storage
  • USB-Type C ports
  • Two USB 3.0 ports
  • MicroSD-Card reader
  • Bluetooth 4.2
  • Wi-Fi
  • 5MP Web cam with 720p resolution
  • Styluses

Further more it will come with play store out of the box.

ASUS C213 Chromebook

Till the moment, we don’t know much about ASUS c213. But we do know that it will be like Acer Spin 11 with same 2 in 1 design, USB-C support and play store out of the box. Both also included styluses – with or without still unclear.

Prices and availability is yet to confirm. According to Google it will be available in third quarter of the year.
